Bose has been at the forefront of the headphone market, as far as I can remember – and I’m pretty old. I’ve been using a lot of company headphones over the years and they’re all getting better and better. I’ve always been a big fan of Bose Quiet Comfort 35II headphones. I own pairs and have been using them most days since 3 years ago.

Like most, the headphone market is always in flux. You have a new brand, Apple and Nothing, and a new leap in technology that is entering the battle. To harmonize with “modern” aesthetics, Bose has released the Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700. Bose uses a more sophisticated design than traditionally known, showing that the best products can innovate and design.

However, Bose purists were divided. Many have missed some of the features and design attributes that they’ve come to know and love in Bose’s QuietComfort series. For example, the ability to fold headphones into a box. And like any good company, Bose was taking notes. That’s why Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones exist.They are a love letter to Bose QuietComfort 35 II fans Headphones that have not been updated since 2017.

But for those of us running QuietComfort 35 II headphones that are now five years old, there’s enough to guarantee an update here. My stuff is starting to look a bit shabby, so I think I’ll get these sets in the not too distant future.

Is Bose QuietComfort 45 Worth It?

If you’ve been a longtime fan and are using Bose’s QC35 II headphones, the Bose QuietComfort 45 is a slightly incremental update. Get faster charging, USB Type C, the same great design and comfort, plus 4 hours of battery life. For me, that’s more than enough to guarantee that I’m upgrading my old QC35 II headphone set-it basically fixes everything that’s wrong with them.

If you’re looking for a more modern headphone set with adjustable EQ, more aggressive noise canceling, and a more contemporary design, check out the Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700. These are Bose’s newly anointed flagship headphones. So you have access to all the latest and greatest new features. But you will pay more for these headphones.Another option is Sony’s incredible WH-1000XM4 headphones It boasts 30 hours of battery life and outstanding audio quality.

Basically, choosing from these three sets of headphones is a daunting task. They are great in their own way. myself? I like the fit and finish of the Bose QuietComfort 45. I also like the sound of the QC35 II headphones. Also, Bose hasn’t messed with any of the drivers in the Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones, so the performance is exactly the same. I really like the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, especially because of the very strong battery performance.

Whichever model you choose, you’ll get a great set of headphones. myself? I think I’ll get a set of Bose Quiet Comfort 45 headphones later this year. I’ve enjoyed the QC35 II headphones so much that I find it almost rude to switch to another brand at this point, but I’m happy to know that there are plenty of solid options for all at similar prices.
